Hey! Thank you for such detailed feedback. Unfortunately, we couldn't implement all the things that we planned in this game and you stressed the concerns we had on some key points.

There is an actual ending (even two of those), but the end build is a bit bugged, so some may have difficulties accessing them. We already noted that and will improve the gameplay later on.

Cryptic clues, clarity of objectives and many other aspects are also in need of some improvements, but thank you very much for stating those. Now, I hope, we can learn from our mistakes, as they are in front of us.

And finally, the color code - obviously that's not the best solution (regarding colorblind people), but at that point it was the fastest one. Will improve this aspect as well.

Anyways, thank you for taking your time and rating us! Cheers!

On various factors: Engine, game genre, 2D/3D, am I interested,  etc.

Depends.

So basically 19 days already passed by. Oooh. Anyways, let me check your concept and see what I can do:

Hey! Can't find it among game jams listing here on itch. Could you pass a link? Thanks

Hi! Thank you for your valuable feedback. Actually, the information you get in the clues determines which gate you need to follow to progress closer to the game end, not the opposite. Different gates either progress you or throw back to previously visited levels. Will work more on transparency of this feature later on. Cheers!

Sorry for your negative experience. That's obviously a bug, where the colliders for the spikes was not adjusted probably. Will definitely improve this after the jam. Thank you for the valuable feedback :)

Love the graphics!

That's really impressive result for a 7day long jam. Great job!

Hi all!

I'm an experienced Game Designer with 5+ years in industry, who's looking to work at some indie projects.

Recently discovered the joy of Game Jams and had lots of fun.

So if you're looking for a Game Designer for your upcoming jam or struggling with lack of ideas/economy/writings for you game - feel free to drop me a message.

Let's make something great together!

...and have some sort of a blocker + time limit.
E.g.: You have to drill the tune from Seven Nation Army and don't get your neighbor mad (You're not allowed to drill when he appears to complain so you have to excuse yoursef - which can be a special key like "Space" with "Excuse me"). :)

Hi. Now I see them. Though, yeah, I think some edge highlights would make it more clear. :)

Great job.

So far - this is my favorite game in this Jam. Great job!

I've tried to play the game, but the character gets reset each time I reach a tile right next to that blue bush thing. :(

Awesome job, mate!

Hi!

The rules claim that working on assets should be started not earlier than Game Jam starts, though says nothing on when the topic/setting/lore discussions should be started.

Does it work the same way - and we should start brainstorming on Feb 15, or this should be done earlier?

Thanks

Hey James!

I've been working in game dev industry for the past 5+ years as Game Designer/QA so if you need any help with any design tasks (narrative, level, economy/math), QA tasks or maybe some localization/translation or even some managing stuff - feel free to hit me back with a message. I'm a huge metroidvania fan and basically played all of them :). Cheers!
